Acknowledge these demands, the government has set up a committee to recommend revision in the guideline value.

The committee will need time to revive the land survey number use. Therefore, as the value of the property in the open market has increased significantly, pending the report of this committee, the government has decided to increase the guideline value in exchange for the guideline value which was observed till 08.06.2017.

To reduce the burden on land buyer, the government has also decided to reduce the registration fee from 04 percentage to 02 percentage. Henceforth, stamp duty of 5 percentage, property transfer tax of 2 percentage and registration fees of 02 percent of the guideline value as observes till 08.06.2027 shall be payable for documents of sale, donation, and transfer of property. 07 percentage stamp duty and 02 percent registration fees for non-family arrangement documents.

These measures will greatly benefit the common and middle class, especially those who buy houses through bank loans.
